MAC Holiday Collection

Hi ladies! I know I know..it’s been a while since I last have a proper post. Work is really challenging. Now I know why there’s nothing better than studying. Having said that, I’m thankful that I’m learning lots of new stuff and putting what I’ve learned in school to good use. People are willing to teach u stuff.

I went into Specktra that day and saw the pics of MAC Holiday collection soon to be released. OMG! They are so gorgeous! Especially the packaging! Melts….

Btw, FYI, holiday collection from major cosmetics brands are released as early as late October to November. So keep your eyes peeled. You can see the sneak previews of holiday collections for most cosmetics giants in their websites. There are a couple beauty blogs that I check out often are already doing a compilation of holiday collections.

Aww..this is really sad. She’s really great..participating in lots of charity events and helping the underprivileged. It’s a great loss.

The death of Anita Roddick, 64, on Monday after a brain hemorrhage signified the passing of an advocate of entrepreneurship and social responsibility. She was one of the best-known founders of THE BODY SHOP - a company that combines the goal of making a profit with giving back to society and empowering others through the Community Trade Program.With no training in business, Roddick opened the first Body Shop store in Brighton, England in 1976, making her own products out of natural ingredients. She grew the franchise through franchising and took it public eight years after its opening.In 2006 Roddick sold the The Body Shop to L'Oreal, so she could dedicate her time to philanthropy but remained involved on numerous levels.At a time when few to no female business owners were in power, Anita's work introduced new generations of women to the possibility that they could run their own future and thrive outside of traditional corporate America.

Update: Sorry for the late posting, been busy at work now that attachment starts. Am so tired after reaching home..Slept at latest 10pm or earlier..Unbelievable right? Considering that I sleep like 12 to 3 am normally. Am also down with flu, took a 1 day MC yesterday..the stupiiiiddd block nose caused fluids to back flow and my throat is a little swollen.

My 1 week of break

I'm having a 1 week break now. Sadly, it's the last day of break tomorrow :'( Starting my attachment on monday. Some posts coming up. Sorry guys for the long delay. I've got a few makeup and skincare posts in draft.

Rimmel Underground Light Beam Lip Gloss

Meet the latest product from Rimmel. It's a LED lipgloss! Way cool! :) There's also a mirror on the side.

This baby is convenient for a quick touchup even in the darkest condition. It's a must-bring for those who goes clubbing often! Imagine it'll be so much convenient to touch up in the dark suuroundings with the LED and mirror at the side. It's also nifty and won't take up much space in your clubbing bag.



Might also be useful in the cinema. If you have a sudden urge to touch up(thou I can't think why..maybe aft kissing? Haha)

I've read it in a few blogs that this is rather sheer. Like just a natural sheen on your lips. A pity I can't get my hands on one. Rimmel is not available in Singapore :(

I don't think I'll be posting much in the span of 1 month or so. Exams are coming around the corner. Projects and assignments deadlines are waving their hands madly at us; vying for all of just merely one person's attention(yes that's moi). I guess everyone in school is feeling the stress and pressure right now. Exam is on during the 2nd last wk of August.

Maybe I'll tweak a little here and there. Occasionally putting in some product reviews.

Digressing here, I was chatting with a friend on MSN just now and she commented that the above titles for my upcoming posts sounds like different chapters of a book. Haha..I do wish someday I can publish my own beauty book! :)

As you may have noticed, I've deleted the posts that are non-beauty related. Also, I've noticed most of you asking about skincare related questions. Most people I've asked on MSN also wish to see more posts pertaining to skincare. I guess I'll start with skincare posts first. Furthermore, my forte is in skincare.

To Jayred: I've thought about setting up my beauty blog in another site, a different one from this blog. However, I think that this current address is more suitable for a beauty blog purpose. Furthermore, I don't have much things to blog from my daily life.

Btw guys, I do have another beauty blog. But I hardly ever update that blog, It's filled with links that I check out almost daily. It's been my beauty bible, my source of beauty knowledge and keeping up to date on the beauty scene. It is also a good eye opener as the sites are mostly US and UK sites which feature products and brands that are not available locally.

Do look out for skincare tips here in the coming posts. I hope you'll have an enjoyable time reading them as I have with putting them up.

So I want to have a rough idea what kind of stuff u guys want see in here. As time goes by, I'll try to write more articles related to basically cover the different categories. Ok I think I'm a makeup and skincare addict. I was packing my makeup stuff some time back and I realised that I've so much makeup stuff!





Not to mention all the makeup magazines. Especailly the taiwan magazines that I've collected these past few months. I don't read local magazines anymore accept Cleo. I find that local magazines do not teach readers tips and step by step tutorials to achieve the specific makeup look. Taiwan mags do show you some step by step guide and also tips and tricks to achieve that. They also include some simple hairstyling tricks and skin care guide and skin care recommendations. These are things that local magazines gotta buck up on.





Anyway, some beauty updates:





1) Revlon has launched their summer Limited Edition collection. You can get here at Ngee Ann City's Watsons. Every $50 entitles you to their bronzey sling bag.





2) MAC C-Shock collection is out. This is just the start of a collection of stuff to launch. Love MAC stuff. They always have limited edition stuff or collections coming out every 2 months or so.





3) Benefit has finally come to Singapore! It was said to be launched here last september in Cleo and major beauty magazines here and now it's finally here. But the stuff are so pricey! Their famous Dadelion and Georgia blushers cost SGD$60 each! The ever so popular Benetint is $62! I thought that when they come to Singapore, I'll get my hands on one of their blushes. But it's so ex!! Don't think I'll get any of their stuff.

Spring is finally here! Though it's not much different here in Singapore. It's the tropics and it's summer here all year round. Though during Spring season, it's hotter in Singapore compared with the rest of the year.

Anyway, Bobbi Brown Spring Collection is out. Not sure if it's in Singapore yet. Will have to check it out tomorrow.

The picture above is the Limited Edition Surf and Sand Eye Palette. The colours are fresh and vibrant but I find these colours too normal. Also these colours may be too "fresh"? I though that perhaps these colours will be suitable for those teens and those in their early 20s. Might be too sweet for other age group.

Here's what they say:
